Functional Strength

After our elite performance assessment our pitchers will have a personalized strength and conditioning program designed for their specific inefficiencies, asymmetries, and weaknesses.  All programming will be individually customized by our strength and conditioning staff cross specific to the performance of a pitcher.

Velocity and command

Everyone wants to throw hard! With the proper education you will understand that with bio-mechanical efficiency and functional strength it is inevitable that one will increase their throwing velocity.  Velocity and command should go hand and hand. 

All velocity programs are customized to the individuals needs in conjunction with their personalized strength and conditioning program.  Our velocity programs have been tested and are proven to decrease chance of injury while increasing velocity.

Metrics

Our Tech Lab allows for us to be a data driven company that can track and trend our pitchers throughout the course of their careers.  The use of high level technology can also validate the programming designed by our performance team.  We will track velocity, command, spin rate, trajectory,  arm action and more throughout the course of a pitcher’s career.

INJURY PREVENTION

Joint integrity, active mobility, flexibility, cross specific functional strength, biomechancial efficiency, nutrition and more combined with daily protocols for arm care and injury prevention will drastically decrease your chance of injury.  No one pitcher is exactly the same so on an individual basis all programing with be designed with injury prevention as our number one priority.

NUTRITION

You are what you eat! If you want to be a high performance athlete then it is imperative to understand how to fuel your body.   Athletes fuel their bodies to perform, then fuel their bodies to recover and repeat.  Without proper nutrition and hydration you will put yourself at a great chance of injury.

RECOVERY

Recovery plays a huge role in ones ability to perform on a consistent basis.  Whether you are a starter on a five man rotation or a bullpen pitcher who needs to be ready to pitch daily, our recovery programs will guide you in the right direction for effective competition and training. 

 

Proper Biomechanics

Biomechanical efficiency is ones ability to put their own body in the right place at the right time in the delivery to achieve the most power with the least amount of  effort and stress through the kinematic sequence.  At the highest level we use 3D Motion Capture combined with EMG for the highest level of data capture possible.  Being powered by the National Pitching Association (NPA) and working in conjunction with the performance team at NYU Medical Langone it insures that all information and methodology used by our staff is not only scientifically proven but also measurable and defendable.

Mental and Emotional Training

It’s been said that baseball is 90% or more mental.  We allow our sports phycologist and mental game coaches to dive into each individuals thoughts so athletes can better understand themselves and how their brain works throughout the process.  Task imagery is a big part of pitching.  In order to attract the zone state of mind, train, and compete in a present state of mind it is imperative to understand how the brain works.

Velocity

Ultimately, at the highest levels of the sport, top speed of pitches is what separates a pitcher from the pack. At PitRX we have proven methods to increase pitching speed through and combination of fundamental strength and conditioning training coupled with a comprehensive program to optimize pitching performance.

We break down each component of the pitcher's technique and shore up weak points. In pitching there's no room for slack in any step in the throwing process. Our coaches will max out your velocity!
